Come to Hradiště for the wine

Our wine carries live yeast that can start working again at any time, so we do not supply wine shops or supermarkets. There would be little point anyway: each year you drink the whole vintage and we barely put a few bottles aside for the family archive. Most of it goes at tastings here, and the rest leaves as orders.

Buying a bottle, if you are not local

Worth knowing before you plan anything: we ship the wine to Czechia and Slovakia, and by parcel to several other EU countries. You pick the delivery country in the basket, and it says at once whether yours is among them. The wine list and the basket are in English, the prices in Czech crowns; wine names and the mandatory label text stay Czech, exactly as on the bottle. Not to the UK or Ireland yet - there you can collect the bottles here, or write to us and we will tell you what is possible. The frizzante stays in Czechia: for sparkling wine the zero excise rate applies nowhere, so we cannot send it across the border.

What does work: buy from us in person when you visit, collect bottles you have reserved, or write to vase@vinarstvimedek.cz and we will sort it out by hand. Ordered bottles are collected Thursday to Sunday between 17:00 and 20:00.

In summer, and at the open-air museums

In July and August you will find us at Skanzen Strážnice in booth E14, every day except Monday, 10:00-16:00. We open it for the museum's events as well, the Strážnice folklore festival included. Some bottles are also sold at Skanzen Rochus, just outside Uherské Hradiště. Both pour it by the glass, and from the booth you can take bottles home too.

Finding us, and getting the cellar opened

We are on the Moravian Wine Trail. The cellar is not a shop with opening hours, so if you are planning a route past us, call ahead and we will gladly open it for you. Dates when the cellar is open to the public go on our Facebook.
